Community Networking – What’s In It For YOU?

Have you ever felt like nobody out there knows what you are doing or who you are? One of the best ways to get the word out about you, your business, and your passion for your business, is to network through communities. There are tons of them out there, and not all of them will be right for you.

COMMUNITIES

Google+ Communities: There is a community out there for just about any topic you can imagine. Take a look around, see who is talking about businesses or products like yours, and join their community. You’ll find a group of people who are already interested in what you have to offer. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, create a community. Then make sure to invite your contacts to join you and to share your community.

Tag Tribes: For the avid Periscoper, this could end up being an amazing community. I’m a member, and I know that I’ve met many people through Tag Tribes. You can join the Facebook Community for free, or join the online community for an annual fee. There are extra benefits to being a paying member, but even as a free member of the Facebook group, you’ll be able to make periscope connections, gain more followers, and get your message out to more people.

FABrightnow: This little nugget is my personal brainchild. I listened to my SEVEN members, and found they were frustrated with social media, and having a hard time gaining any traction. So I created the community of FABrightnow. It is a paid service, and gets your offers posted on our social media, extending your reach to people you might not reach on your own. Depending on the level of awesomeness you choose, you might even get a Periscope interview with me! To make this REALLY work for you, make sure to like, share and comment on the offers being posted for other members.

KEY TO SUCCEED

The BIG KEY to all of these platforms is connecting – making connections with new people, having conversations, and sharing content. If you go into a community just looking at what’s in it for you, you won’t have nearly as much success as you will if you think about how you can help the community be better for everyone.

So find a community you’d love to be a part of, like and share other people’s posts, have conversations, meet up in real life even and discover those connections you might not make otherwise. Be your authentic self and everything else will fall into place.
