My Life Lessons of 2017: Life Lessons I’ve Learned This Year

What a year! I would like to share life lessons from 2017.  This year has flown by and has certainly had its up and downs.  I learned, created, traveled, dreamed, laughed, cried and loved.

Today, I wanted to share with you some reflections and lessons I’ve learned in 2017. I also encourage you to reflect on your year and think about what you have accomplished and learned, let go of and embraced.

Here’s to 2017 and a much brighter 2018!!!

Choose yourself – Choose your health, relationships, career path and lifestyle.  Invest in yourself and make time for yourself.

 Learn to say no – Still working on this one but certainly have made some progress.  By saying no to others, you are saving time for the great things that you can do.  Time is precious and by saying no to things you will be able to do the things that you really want to do during your lifetime.

 Develop your personal brand – Whether you know it or not, you have a brand.  Your brand helps you create clarity and stay focused.  A brand sets you apart from your competitors and promotes recognition. 

 Habits are what your days are made of – Change habits to change your lifestyle.  Spend time to design your miracle morning.

 Stop worrying so much – Take it from the Zac Brown Band: “Save your strength for things that you can change, forgive the ones you can’t, you gotta let it go.”  Stop worrying about things that are out of your control. Sometimes life deals you a crappy hand but it there isn’t anything that you can do about it.

 Attention spans are very short – Short videos are in and consumers want value. 

 Spending so much time on our phones is causing us to not be engaged in the present moment – Yes, I am guilty of this but making efforts to live in the moment.

 Life can end at any moment – On July 4th I lost my beloved mom, Beba, after a very short illness.  It reminded me that you never know when your time will come. Enjoy each moment and live life to the fullest.

Find a great partner – In business, love and life.  You will be inspired to go big when you have a great partner by your side.  In March I partnered with Social Sandie and we launched Socially Boomin’ in October.  We landed 5 clients the first month that we opened!  Pretty amazing, right?  Sandie is such an awesome teacher and mentor.  I never thought I would ever partner with anyone ever again but when I myself worked with Sandie and got such a clear vision for SEVEN Networking I knew she was a true gem and could greatly help the people in the communities that I am a part of.

Those were some of my biggest life lessons that I learned from 2017.  I am excited to see what 2018 will bring my way!!!
